Spring Garden

Spring is here and I've been spending time on my garden and decided to record a short video to show what I have growing. My garden consist of

  • two different varieties of strawberries
  • a variety of different lettuces
  • spinach
  • tomatoes
  • bell peppers (we have 3 different varieties because we love to eat these)
  • oregano
  • thyme

I'm trying to decide what herbs to add into the garden - as you can see my oregano took over!  You can also see my original "What I Have in My Garden" video from last Fall.

If you have the opportunity to grow your own veggies, I'd highly recommend it. Not only is it therapeutic for your mind, but vegetables that ripen in a garden have more nutrients than the ones that you buy in the store. And they taste so much better!

Gardening is a great way to absorb vitamin D, which many of us are low in. There's a lot of important benefits Vitamin D gives us. Below are some links to previous posts that explain why now, more than ever, we need to make sure we get enough Vitamin D, especially as a Diabetic.
